Battle Rules

General Rules

No godmodding 

Godmodding is  the process of roleplaying your character in a way which in unfair of others. This includes making them significantly overpowered or forcing other characters into situations which are unfair. 


No meta-gaming
Meta gaming is the term used for people using OOC (out of character) knowledge to make IC (in character) decisions. This is strictly forbidden. Any knowledge acquired should be used to influence your characters decisions.

Staying active
We frown upon inactivity without warning, and if you go missing for more than THREE turns without informing a member of staff. Your character CAN and WILL be controlled.





This game is based on Dynasty Warriors, but we to make it a fair experience for everyone we want to make a few points clear.



Mortality
You are not immortal like the game, and charging into thousands of enemies will get you killed. You are stronger than the average warrior ONLY



Being realistic
You are unable to carry out hundreds of actions at the same time. The best battle posts will be CLEAR, CONCISE and to the point. Remember these need to be moderated and it is in your best interest to ensure everyone understands what you are trying to do. If there is something particularly complex, feel free to leave a summary or to inbox the Battle Mod what you were trying to achieve



The procedure for disputes

You may feel you have been unfairly treated, and a decision has gone again you. If this is the case you can challenge ONE decision per battle (per member).

Any complains/challenges should be private messaged to the battle mod
The battle mod is then required to inform their referee (another member of staff) who will review the decision
The decision made by the referee is FINAL

Only the leader of each Kingdom can challenge the battle mods decision, even if they are not in the battle. The challenge must be done via PM to not clutter the battle threads. This challenge will include another member of staff impartial to the battle.


How battles work

Battles work in phases, with attackers posting first followed by the defenders. Unless stated otherwise there is no post order Attacker 1 may post first in the first attacking phase and Attack 3 may post 1st in phase 2.

Each team has 24 hours to post plus 12 hours per additional member, e.g. 3 attackers will have 24 hours + 12 + 12 = 48 hours. If you do not post within this time, you forfeit your turn.

If you unsure if you allowed to do something, inbox the Battle Mod who will respond as soon as possible

You are unable to 'Autokill' which is the process of immediately eliminating your opponent. Even if you outnumber a unit, doesn't mean you crush them. Making statements like "we killed every last one" or "they were no match for us" will only hinder your performance

To send messages across the battlefield, messengers will be used and each force has an unlimited amount. Messengers can be caught or intercepted. Keep this in mind.

The weather will be detailed at the start of the battle and may or may not change during the battle

Movement speed will be down to the discretion of the battlemod that will remain consistent throughout the battle, taking into account troop type, terrain, weather and the RP post

Duels may take place in battles but they will be given a thread of their own.

Competitive battles will not be moderated by someone involved with either Kingdom (Jack cannot moderate Jin battles, Lexi cannot moderate Wu battles).


Before the battle

Any tactics/strategies/ambushes MUST be PM'd to the battle mod before hand but make serve to properly set them up during the thread too, especially for fire attacks but remember, they might not always work.

PM any items you may be using to the Battle mod beforehand, otherwise they will be void.

Any betrayals or defections should be sent to the battle mod before hand. You do not have to go through with the defection but to defect you MUST PM the battlemod before hand.
