With the Yellow Turban Rebellion on the horizon, the idea came to me about letting members create officers to be a part of the Yellow Turbans.

Since the staff controls the three Zhang brothers, there is still some room open for officers. Rather than the pressure of the staff having to RP it all on their own, I thought it might be nice to allow members of the forum to create Yellow Turban characters. Within our guidelines, of course.

1. All Yellow Turbans must be custom characters.

2. Anyone with two Main characters already, may create a Yellow Turban officer. However, let it be understood right from the start. This character will be a sacrificial lamb, in that they will die during the rebellion.

3. If you only have one Main character, you may create a character who will survive the Yellow Turban Rebellion, to then go and join a kingdom and move forward with his, or her, life as your second Main character.


The entire point of this is to flesh out the Yellow Turbans, easing pressure on the staff, and generally allowing a better roleplay for all involved.

When I state sacrificial lamb, it is exactly what I mean. Your character will die on the battlefield, fighting for the cause of the Yellow Turbans.

This voids the character death rules in play, because you know right from the outset, the only purpose of this character is to put up an enjoyable fight for the Kingdom Officers who will be fighting against the Yellow Turbans.

The rules for being a Yellow Turban are simple. You obey what Zhang Jiao, or his brothers, tell you. This is not an excuse to be an asshat and run around screaming about the Han and how you are going to kill them all.

A good example of the current state of the Yellow Turbans can be found in the Way of Peace post, that Zhang Jiao has in Jing Province.

As it stands now, the Yellow Turbans are feeding and healing the peasants, and amassing their forces. There is no talk of rebellion yet, or death to the Han. Those joining up can speak personally with Zhang Jiao. As the army grows, so will the rebellious talk.

We only have a limited number of slots available to take part in this. Given we already have three officers usable by the staff, it has been decided that only seven other positions will be available.

These are a first-come, first-serve basis. Create the profile using the templates in Pending Profiles as you normally would. This list will be updated with each accepted officer into the Yellow Turban ranks.
