Small noises disrupted the silence of the night. Noises from animals, from people and from a horse's hooves. A lone horse wandered into the night, the passanger on it bent over and huddled under a dark cloak. Smells of soft crushed flowers followed the horse and it's owner. The horse was wandering without the lead of its master, going whichever way it wanted. Going uphill didn't seem to bother the horse, though it did pause suddenly in front of a grove of trees. The rider was stirred awake and fell off the horse, hitting the ground with a loud thud. A string of curses slipt from the mouth of the rider. The voice was... female? Guan YinPing stared up at her horse and then the sky. Her body ached. The ground wss hard and cold. She was cold. Too damn cold. She rolled over to her stomach and groaned in pain even as she shoved her body up and stood. Her body ached and she stretched her body, even as she pet her horse gently. They'd stop here for the night. She quickly moved around to gather wood for a fire. She wrapped herself in the cloak as she did so, trying to keep warm. the fire took too damn long to make. Her hands were numb. She didn't bother trying to tie her horse up, her horse was loyal and would stay with her. She laid down next to her horse, near the fire and closed her eyes, telling herself she'd only close her eyes for s moment.., just a moment,,

~Well, things were definitely eventful for the man who was getting his sea legs dried off so to speak. His ship was still safely tucked away and his men were all off doing their own things with their recent plunder and vacation time. Wei wanted to take this time to wonder the lands after all and see just whom, and what was out there. Sure he knew the rumors and lords of the lands. Each sect looking for their share of warriors to join the cause, and yet Wei was looking for something more than some banner to fight for.

Sure there were ideals, and for the people rights going on, though for Wei Ning, a good woman was far more worth it to him in the end. Thus sure he was a flirt and always enjoyed the company of the opposite sex easily enough. Hell, just the other day he had met two new folks already. Burai and Yaomo, both interesting fellows and each had their own story and views on this war torn land. Sadly, or not so sadly his trek had to continue sometime and he bid his fair wells to those recently met.

He wasn’t a stranger to cold nights by any means as his mind wondered off once more. Hell, the sea always held treacherous cold nights when the shifts in fronts came through. His stolen horse still around he half chuckled to himself wondering when some bounty hunter would try and wrangle him in. He didn’t care so much about that, especially since his mind was pulled from the daze it was in when he heard a faint woman yelp. Ok it wasn’t really a yelp but it was definitely a sound a woman made when they were out by themselves.

This time of night was definitely interesting to hear someone at all, and the chill alone could have frozen anyone that wasn’t accustomed to changes in weather by now. Wei was definitely glad he stole a cloak from that village in Chang An now though as he gave a soft smile allowing his horse to ride off towards where he heard the woman. His eye scanned the horizon, and yet he couldn’t see anyone yet, until finally it seemed a fire sparked to catch his eye.

By the time his horse had gotten to the small fire and seemingly light camp the young lady had made she was passed out. Normally it wasn’t nice to sneak up on a beauty like this but Wei Ning pulled himself quietly from his steed and let it move over next to hers. He shoved his Anchor spear into the ground on the opposite side of the fire from the lady and moved about finding wood to make the fire burn hotter. Guan Yinping must have been tired since she really almost lost the fire altogether.

Finally though Wei Ning took a seat next to guan and looked her over innocently for a moment. Yep she was a gorgeous lady indeed, and he also noticed she was half shivering from the cold. He could tell her own cloak was barely doing the job. With a low grunt, Wei took his cloak off and pushed it around her form and half tucked her in. He was trying to not startle the lady after all, but also couldn’t help but to rub her shoulder softly as she was partially in his lap. After all, he knew he produced body heat, and his hand would cause friction across her form. More heat meant she’d hopefully be more comfortable. If she lashed out, she lashed out…Wei wasn’t afraid of being bold after all.~

It wasn't from her horse but from the fire at first. It didn't feel like it was out of hand. So she snuggled more into her cloak for warmth. She dreamed. Of her and Cai sparring, of the curious Li Shimin, how dangerous Cao Pi was, the energetic Sun Ren, of warm roasted meat and warm wine. Warm wine.... the smell, the sweet but bitter taste... she rolled slightly in her sleep. An extra layer of hest wrapped around her and Guan YinPing sunk farther into sleep. She was laughing eith her brothers and fsther, when she was ypunbet. Her father's adoration shone in his eyes and her brothers were their ever loving selves.... she was startled out of her sleep when she felt the touch of someone. Her weapon was on her horse. She had a knife or two on her... she blinked her eyes to see clearly. There was a man touching her. Who, she didn't know. She didn't remember being with a man. She had left yet another note for her fsmily to see and left on her little trip. She had drank a lot, laughed a lot... but hadn't found a man right? She wasn't actually sure but... "Please tell me you have wine." she groaned out even as she abandoned the thought of finding a weapon. She was too cold and tired for that. rubbing her eyes even as she sat herself up, she looked at Wei Ning. He looked very... unlike a respectable person, but oh well. She tucked the warm cloaks around her, yawning as she stared at him.

~He couldn’t help but to smile at the young lass he held half way. His hand still massaged that shoulder and made more heat for that lovely petite form she held. The fire was definitely burning a bit brighter than it was with his help as well and he took a look toward the stars in thought. He was half way surprised she seemed to just sleep with all of his actions really, perhaps she wanted to be more comfortable and he did what the doctor had ordered so to speak. This thought made Wei chuckle softly.

His sound however was cut short as he felt movement, this made him cast his eye downwards at the women as she squirmed slightly and cracked her eyes open. Hell he half expected her to lash out but instead she just kind of stared and Wei returned the stare back. Her words however finally told him that she indeed was looking for a weapon to defend herself. She seemed to be worried about other things perhaps, and sadly he could smell the alcohol along her form. Damn if she was a pirate she’d make a good one perhaps with her drinking ways he thought.

He let the question linger on his mind as she finally sat up and he let her. He had no reason to force her into stay down after all, and he didn’t wish to be taken as threatening. Though, finally he decided to speak. “Heh, well my fair lass…A pirate is never without some form of drink…Perhaps I can help you out with that, just like I helped you with the fire and getting warm?” Wei Ning stated plainly as he stood up in thought. His pace was easy going as he moved to his horse and pulled off a bag. He un-wrapped it as he moved back to his seat and looked back upon her beautiful face.

“I don’t suppose a small trade is in order if I maybe so bold with a woman of such beauty hmmm?” He asked with a smirk upon his features. “I’ll give you this whole bottle if you perhaps share with me a name? An maybe a sweet kiss for a bonus?” Wei Ning asked very boldly. “Though the second one is definitely optional…Oh and well, the gentlemanly thing as well, the names Wei Ning, at your service.” He added on with a sly smirk of his pushing into a bright smile. “Don’t let the getup fool you however, I mean ya no harm. I rather dislike fighting women personally.”

Wei Ning couldn’t help himself after all, but he wasn’t one to take things lightly either, she didn’t wish to be an enemy here, and wouldn’t force her into anything she didn’t want. He did however take a drink himself first from that bottle to show her further that it wasn’t poisoned or anything like that. In this war torn world, he knew ya could never be too sure about your random unexpected company.~

oh we're in danger of sleeping with a friend    tags: @wei ning   sleeping with a friend-- neon trees  outfit: --- words: 547 ❥ DID YOU COME& Guan YinPing wasn't already drunk, per say. Well not anymore. She was coming out of it with her head feeling like someone was hacking at it. She did have a thick smell of alcohol on her though. Not enough to repulse a man... but to repulse a women, yes. She always drank watered down wine snd drink, so it had taken a while to achieve her current situation. She didn't want the alcohol for the taste, she wanted the burn to keep her warm. Rubbing her temples with two fingers, she watched as Wei Ning moved to his horse and took out a bottle. He said he was a pirate? She didn't mean to be judgemental but he sure looked the part. It made sense that he had alcohol with him then. A wait... perhaps that was a stereotype as well. Oh how her father would feel if he found out she was judging people based on a sterotype. She winced. If news of her little drinking trip reached her father's ears, he'd marry her off in hours. She was traveling to practice, to find the peace in herself for when she would enter the battlefield. However things always got in her way. shaking herself out of her inner musings, she heard the male talking. A trade? A name and a kiss for the drink. Though he did say the kiss was optional. He gsvd his name, Wei Ning and somehow it fit when she said it to herself slowly. A pirate named Wei Ning but he didn't like fighting females? he had a good heart then, which was probably more than what was expected of him. She watched him take a drink from the bottle and gabe him a small smile. Rubbing her arms to give them warmth, she decided. "My name is Guan YinPing, daughter of Guan Yu." Saying daughter of Guan Yu sounded better than saying daughter of the God of War. God of War made her family seem bad. YinPing leaned over and gave Wei Ning a quick koss to the corner of his moitj, almost his cheek. There. A trade ofd.

~He couldn’t help but watch the young lady as she seemed to be in her own little world. She looked at him at first as if she was in some daze, probably her just waking up he told himself and kept his little sly smirk pressed along his lips. The alcohol definitely gave him a burn as he drank it and yet it was definitely something he was very used too. After all being a pirate meant you normally drank a lot didn’t it? Well, to some it did. Honestly Wei Ning barely let himself drink to the point of drunkenness really. Hell the last time he did that he ended up in some form of brothel for the entire week and was sore all over.

Hell the ladies there probably kicked the shit out of him. Yet he didn’t resent them for it since he probably deserved it really. Though when he watched Guan Yinping he couldn’t help but smirk a bit wider as she seemed free of her own distant thoughts and finally spoke. Her name was immediately familiar to him however, when he heard it. Not that he knew her or her family personally but exploits and rumors circled about her father for sure. Few men wanted to cross blades with such a man, and yet Wei Ning half welcomed the opportunity.

Yeah he was crazy and didn’t care if it did result in his own death. He was a thrill seeker after all. Though, his own thoughts pulled away as he felt her lips meet his cheek and a little corner of his mouth. He tilted his head and chuckled a bit. “Damn I must say if I was any smarter I should have moved my face quickly to get that kiss planted on lips…Though, seeing as how I don’t wish to anger the beautiful Guan Yinping so soon after meeting her, I shall keep my urges in check.” He stated freely, never one to be afraid of stating opinion after all. Though, he also soon added to his statement. “Oh and well, a deal is a deal…You can have the bottle.” He said chuckle. He wanted to wink, but well a man with an eye-patch winking? Really, how not what it’d seem.

He did however push his form right next to hers and sat next to her in front of the fire. “Feel free to use my warmth to better keep you Yin…I hope the lady doesn’t dislike Yin for short perhaps? An well, I guess the next step is to also better get to know one another huh?” He said openly and let his hand move along her opposite shoulder lightly to tug her in closely. After all, she still seemed rather cold and he merely wanted to keep her warm like a gentleman. “You first or shall I M’lady? After all, it should be ladies first…Aside from the rather talented father you must have by legend, I am sure you’re your own woman yes?”~

At least it wasn't raining. if it bad been, she'd be frozen. Rain and cold weather never mixed well. Taking the bottle, she took a large gulp grimacing wt the Burn ane taste of it. She shouldn't be shocked it wasn't the watered down type served at taverns. Taking another gulp, she gave the bottle baxk to him. She didn't need anymore alcohol in her system, that much she knew. Even with her mind fuzzy, she processed the worl0d Yin and it clicked with her name. No one before had shortened her name.

she was lady Guan, lady YinPing, Guan YinPing or YinPing. It was a mouthful of a name but it didn't sound horrible. But she could understand wanting to shorten it. "Yin is a nice nickname, " she found herseld saying as she curled herself closer to Wei Ning.

he asked about herself and she actually had to think about it. "I like drink... and women. And men. One day... I'll be the Goddess of War " She laughed even as she said it. Not one day soon. But she'd be a legend and do her family proud
