Wei Nings weapon of choice is an anchor fashioned into a spear with a chain attached to it, he calls it a Hǎizhīmáo since it is very unique. The Anchor alone on the end of the pole is grinded down so that it is bladed, and is about two feet across in length. It weights by itself 30 lbs {As seen in pictures but a little smaller to make it more believable for the anchor size itself.}. The haft weights only 10 lbs and extends the normal size of any other spear would. The chain attached to the end of the haft is only about six feet in length and normally wrapped around his waist so his full body is used to handle the weight of the weapon. He's a stout man indeed, and handles his weapon much like a broad sword and spear mixed. Definitely a two handed weapon. Normally when not in combat he plants it next to him blade first on the ground and can literally stand on his weapon. He's unorthodox with his move set for sure and keeps the oponent guessing.

The mans a very good pirate after all and enjoys his life at sea. Sometimes a little too much especially since he went to such lengths to fashion a weapon from his very own first boat. He has his own martial art so to speak in this land of chaos, and the only drive stronger than his sheer will to fight is his desire to flirt with a lovely lady. He loves the thrills the world has to offer, and theres no bigger thrill than war, unless it's conquest of the bed. He'll never turn down a duel to test his unique skills, and show others what he can do.

He can be fiercely loyal to his peers, however sometimes orders are meant to be broken, he's no slouch when it comes to the mind, and always is adaptable to the issue at hand. He tends to react more than think things through, he has no patience for prolonged planning, and loves the thrill to seek out ideas while in the moment.

history

Born to a fisherman family Ning had the sea in his blood so to speak. He had a decent education, and always had a knack to seek out the best thrills in life. Thus naturally, he joined the family business only to later get picked up by a band of pirates. They saw uniqueness in Ning that few others did, so it wasn’t hard for him to work up the ranks. He was the first mate in no time with the captain’s eye on him to go far in the ways of pirating.

Developing his own style of fighting Ning always sought ways to spar and perfect his moves after fashioning his famous anchor spear as a weapon. Most thought he was mad from then on and started to underestimate the man. Either way he knew soon enough he’d have to further prove his worth. Thus, when the greed was too strong for their former captain, Wei Ning stepped up to the plate in challenging his old mentor.

The battle was actually rather eventful, as the man’s sword was swift, though Ning’s determination was relentless and refused to stay down even after losing an eye in the process. Nevertheless Ning finally came out on top and took over the ship. He lead his men in a new way however by example and earned their trust faithfully with each action he undertook. He showed his men he’d always be at the forefront of their ranks and earned his way back into their hearts, aside from his unorthodox style. He now searches for the next big find, whether it be war or love in his life, while getting paid in the process.
