Dreams, Hopes, and Fears (Open)

A crowd had gathered in the courtyard of Ming's estate. Some were workers from the land she owned, some from nearby Chang Sha. Others from farther. A couple were wearing white robes with the hanzi of White Princess. They were a bit of the more.. devoted of her listeners. In the hall leading to the courtyard, Wei Ming dressed in a floral dress adorned with hanzi symbols for Light. She was accompanied by a single maid who was just finishing rolling Ming's long snowy hair into two buns. Ming had her hand on her great grand mothers rod held by another servant which she does before every gathering. It always gives her a sense of courage. Regardless what some said about her heritage she had pride in her family.

Bowing politely in respect to her maid and staff holder, she headed to the courtyard gardens. She smiled warmly at her guests. Her strange appearance already getting various responses from the first timers. Each were given chairs and tea.

"Welcome. I am very grateful to have you all here today. My family name is Wei, and my given is Ming. I am so very proud of the name my family gave me. I am certain that many, if not all of you are here today to hear of my latest dreams. Or perhaps to hear of the light that has visited me in my dreams. I hope to inspire each of you to live full lives and to not fear the chaos to come. I believe that it can and will be stopped. But only if we all help each other and have faith in the light. Before I go further... please tell me your stories. You all are just as worthy to be heard."

Her voice was almost musical to listen to. Maintaining composure and maturity in her voice yet a aura of innocence lingered upon her mystical figure. She used to be much more shaken and shy doing these before. Now she has become more confidant and at home with it. Ming looked at each person. Not allowing any to go ignored. She then asked each person to share their names and any other things they would like to share. Not forcing those who wished to not. Ming listened to each with equal patience.

The stories were of famine and disease, injustices being done, battles fought, deals made, trophies gained. It varied pretty greatly.

After hearing each and every comment. The one that was being called White Princess would speak and try to give hope to those who need it.

There was a mononymous crowd here today for the White Princess of Chi too see her wisdom and power.  Many were her owm workers or peasants that lived in the area. To them she was an idol and for good reason. The little White Princess however cought the attention of Wu Zhou Shang Sun of Wei for she knew all about Chu from the past and the past exploits of the Blessed Governor and her fabled Dragon General who had fought and died for true peace. The two were a true inspiration for her since she was a child. She had ready many historical texts but her favorite tome by far was the legend of Chu. The tome spoke of Chu as many today believed Chu never existed in the first place while other's said it was a poor kingdom ran on dreams, either way Wu Zhou Shang Sun never grew old of the tome since her mother had read it to her.

When word had been reached that a descendant of Chu and been found and of all things, making a public speech at her estate,Wu Zhou Shang Sun grew excited for the first time in a long time, unfortunately she could not go herself as her duties to the court required for her to stay in Wei for a time but she still desired to meet this woman one day. She decided to sent three loyal Order of the Heavenly White Lotus priestesses with a letter of forgiveiness and invitation to Wei to come and speak to Wu Zhou Shang Sun as a great honoured guest out of respect for Chu. The three priestesses traveled to the Chang Sha area, located the Ming estate and gathered at the estate just as The White Princess began her speech. 

"Welcome. I am very grateful to have you all here today. My family name is Wei, and my given is Ming. I am so very proud of the name my family gave me. I am certain that many, if not all of you are here today to hear of my latest dreams. Or perhaps to hear of the light that has visited me in my dreams. I hope to inspire each of you to live full lives and to not fear the chaos to come. I believe that it can and will be stopped. But only if we all help each other and have faith in the light. Before I go further... please tell me your stories. You all are just as worthy to be heard."

Following the musical speech that spoke of famine and disease and a many great topics by The White Princess, the three Priestesses in there standard enclosed outfits formed a line with the two Priestesses following the High Priestess with there heads down and there hands forming a preyer signs, they traveled to the garden area where The White Princess had ventured off too. They directly approached her with there heads bowed with the highest of respect with the High priestess handing her a scroll in complete silence before the High Priestess and one of her sisters leaving, only the youngest stayed with The White Princess.

"Please forgive them my lady, They are enclosed sisters and cannot speak to outsiders out of our order or the city where there monastery is located. Please forgive them, I am not an enclosed sister, Wu Zhou Shang Sun of Wei wishes personally for you to come to Wei at your's heart's content as a guest of the highest Honour. My lady has the highest respect for the fallen kingdom of Chu."


The priestess then bowed her head in respect of The White Princess before backing away and following suit after her sisters, wanting to return to there duties.

After the gathering Ming was approached by three priestesses. Ming always appreciated those of a faith. Even if it was not of her own devotion to The Light. Accepting a scroll with a smile. Lady Sun of Wei... It was ironic how fate worked. Indeed it could be a sign from the light that is not within her dreams.

"Thank you very much for the kind offer. I have decided that soon I will begin a pilgrimage across the land. This journey will cross paths with the Wei kingdom. I will make meeting Lady Sun a priority."

The maiden went back to her sisters as Wei Ming turned away. Her face grew concerned. She thought deeply about what the reason for the meeting might really be. She was often like this, over thinking every little thing. She began to walk through the halls of the manor towards her afternoon training with a sword instructor she hired. Ming would need to be able to defend herself on her journey. A journey she had seen meant for her in her dreams. This meeting with Lady Sun was further calling to begin the quest.

Wei Ming's mind wandered as she walked. Those who ruled often felt the need to gain more officers in their ranks. This was most common in times of war. She wondered how long before Lords attempted to control her by placing her under their flag. Trying to benefit from her Chu heritage or perhaps making attempts to call her treasonous and wipe out the Wei for good before their lands feel threatened. The thoughts of others always caused Ming much distress.

As she opened the door to her training ground. Wei Ming stopped for a second and sighed.

Yes, a visit to the many different kingdoms would certainly broaden her horizons and give her a good lay of the land outside her many books and the stories of others.

Hua had heard of the Wei estate for quite some years especially when he worked with Wei Gan in there service to the Han but he never spoke of his home and it's location as well as rarely seapking of his family. When Hua Gui was much younger and had only recently became a Han General under the Empress command at the time, only Wei Gan befriended the monk and spent time wih him. Once while in the captial visiting, Hua Gui got to meet Wei Gan's family, his wife Pao Qi and there beautiful child Ming. Hua Gui had holded there little toddler for a few moments and noticed holded her in the air, with her silky white shining off from the sunlight. He knew she was blessed from the heavens....she was a special child with a special destiny, what that destiny was he did not know and possibly never would he. When Wei Gan had died, Hua Gui had lost one of his few friends left in the world but he left a scroll behind for him to read. It consisted of a simple letter asking him to go see her when she was an adult and "do what needed to be done". Hua Gui never quite understand what he meant by that as it was vague but he promised his old friend he would do it in the name of there friendship. Hua Gui spent many years looking for the estate to no avail until finally Han intelligence was able to locate her estate near Chang Sha many years after Wei Gan had died. He decided it was time to see how she developed as a woman and to see if she was special as he had believed or if she became normal once more.



Taking a few weeks off, hua Gui found himself at her estate just as a Wei Ming herself gave a speech out to the crowd. Hua Gui decided to stick with the crowd now despite sticking out to listen, He wanted to know.



"Welcome. I am very grateful to have you all here today. My family name is Wei, and my given is Ming. I am so very proud of the name my family gave me. I am certain that many, if not all of you are here today to hear of my latest dreams. Or perhaps to hear of the light that has visited me in my dreams. Hua Gui would of liked to say he was surprised but somehow he wasn't, she had turned out the way he always thought she world, She had the voice of angel and cared about the people and the lands but most of all she cared about Emperor out of sync with the Heavens. By the way she acted, he could of sworn she was his daughter but atlas his eldest decided to become a warrior instead of a monk. As Wei Ming left and entered the Gardens, so did he but only after seeing three enclosed priestesses give a scroll to the White Princess before leaving. he approached her soon after they left.



"Wei Ming! it's been such a long time since i've seen you! The last time I saw you were just a toddler when your father brought his family to the capital. Me and your father worked for the Han and were good Friends. I always knew you were a special child ever since the heavens smiled at you. I came here today since your father let behind a note for me when he died, to see you when you fine grown. I know you don't know me and am sure you are very confused but if you shall need help with something, I offer you my sword just as the Mighty Dragon General had done with your great grand mother I am a spiritual monk and a General."

Wei Ming was intersected by a large armored man right at the end of her thoughts. Hua Gui a warrior who knew her father closely. She had known he was within the estate and had become so lost in thought that she had forgotten to greet him. This was common flaw that she often could not handle a million things in a day.

"Ahahah, Hua Gui! Forgive my neglect in seeing you earlier! A bad habit that I just can't drop ha..."

Ming's face became flustered.

Hua Gui spoke his peace and her face lit up like a girl on who found a unicorn. She clapped excitedly before realizing her outburst and quickly becoming polite with a deep bow of gratitude.

"Thank you! I am in the process of preparation for a long journey to see the state of the land with my own two eyes. I also hope to meet the men and women who are to guide the land out of the chaos... I am so grateful to have your escort sir! Please use my home as your own!"

Wei Ming did not speak of her thoughts on the current rulers in this rising chaos. Her dreams showed her what will come in the future. How much the land will change. Any peace brought by the current kingdoms will not be long lasting. However she needed to see for herself. To make certain that she had not mistranslated the light's messages.

Hua Gui let out a laugh at the young woman as he placed his right arm at her shoulder. he wasn't surprised at all how she was acting, hell if she acted normal he might be concerned for her well being. It's not like the Wei's were ever exactly normal, was that a good thing or a bad thing? hard to say really but it doesn't matter right now anyway. From the flustering and blushing she was doing, if he was twenty years old, He'd probably say it's cute but he was not, he was over forty and to him, he be willing to adopt her if she asked.

"Relax Ming it's alright, just act like yourself around good old Uncle Gui, you don't have to act differently around me....You keep doing that and you may have boy's after you like they do with my daughters hahaha"

He let out another laugh, Hua Gui just couldn't help it, he felt he had already known for so long despite not seeing her since she was a toddler. After speaking his mind with her, He suddenly then noticed she began to become extremely excited, almost to the point where you gave a child a sweet treat. she even clapped excitedly as if she was just given a present, maybe he did her the greatest present, he wasn't too sure but whatever he said made her extremely happy just now before she performed a deep bow which slightly threw him off no less, changing from a goofy, regular girl to the super mature girl ready to take on the world as the new Wei Sun. She spoke once more after bowing.


 "Thank you! I am in the process of preparation for a long journey to see the state of the land with my own two eyes. I also hope to meet the men and women who are to guide the land out of the chaos... I am so grateful to have your escort sir! Please use my home as your own!"



He sighed before grabbing her shoulder once more after she finished speaking her mind. He knew she meant well and he knew what she was planning and frankly he couldn't argue with her as he himself grew tired of the Han Dynasty and thee problems, with a false emperor who cared for little besides pleasuring himself. He grew tired of it but he was still sworn to his duties and he would complete his duties, He just hoped the heavens wouldn't punish him to sticking to human morals then the world's spiritual needs.  

"Ming I will be your teacher for many thing spiritual and physical however I expect you to be your normal goofy self around me,that is my only condition , I do not want you to be the Blessed Lady of Chu all the time, you can save that for you quest, I know your true nature by your Chi energy alone......Do not worry for me for I was and still am a Monk of Amne Machin...We do not require much of anything"

after finishing that he also said one last thing to her

"I will teach you for your journey but once you truly begin your journey to revive, I cannot help any longer......You must the last remaining Dragon of the Wa blood, he will continue you training and aid you eternally as there Blood oath entails with the Blessed Governor and the Dragon General. My life belongs to the Han but I believe in you Ming just as the day I raised you up in the air and the light reflected off your hair when you were a toddler. You must find him, your destines are intertwined."

suddenly he looked behind to see a small crowd listening to his speech to Wei Ming

"Nothing to see here people! just go back to the party please!"

With that the crowd soon disappeared although many looked confused as they walked away.
